• RACK Vision
"Dedicated
to Improving the Image of Pocket Billiards"
RACK
is a new and unique concept for altering and brightening the
long term, thought of "negative image" of "pool."
Through a network of Christian fellowship interests, the beautiful
sport of pocket billiards can rise from the cellar of reflection
now, to the highest beaks of the recreation field in the "not
too distant" future. Note should be made here so as to
not lose anyone early; at least until one has had a chance
to read about the principles of RACK. Faith does not make
anything easy, but it does make all things possible.
Let's
reflect for a moment the following facts and opinions:
-
According
to recent estimates, there are nearly 50,000,000 pool players.
-
Pocket
billiards has been around for hundreds of years, longer
than many other "brighter image" sports.
- The
sport of pocket billiards, regardless of the game played,
is beautiful to play or watch; and extremely fascinating to
almost all.
- An
image of "hustling," crime, and seedy environments
has been portrayed in all forms of attention to the billiard
world - film, books, spoken word, personal actions and even
legal battles.
- Exception
should be made at this time to those claims and facts in #4
above. An elect few have attempted to change the darkness
of our sport in their actions, words and deeds. God bless
these precious people * You know who you are!

The
image is changing. We all can see improvement. New
ideas, new tournaments, new sponsors, new players, more
players in competition, new organizations, etc. Some of
these changes are good, some are not so good. Trying
is the important thing. To have a dream in the mind
is one of life's greatest assets.

A
feeling of unity - sharing and caring, I feel is common
to nearly all of our sport.

Things
are moving so slow it seems… WHY?
I
submit that the reason for this progress is mysterious and
yet simple. Mysterious in that no logical reason from the
above can be deduced. Why shouldn't we be moving at a much
faster pace; or better yet - why aren't we sharing a spot
at the top now in image reference? We have the numbers…
we have the beauty of the game… we've had plenty of time.
The
answer is so simple… TO THOSE THAT UNDERSTAND GOD AND
HIS BLESSINGS PROGRAM. "God is a rewarder of them that
diligently seek Him." To those of you that do no know
this quote, it is from the world's #1 best seller - The Bible.
In God's Holy Word from Hebrews, Chapter 11, verse 6, God
expresses the meaning of faith. Without faith, it is impossible
to please God. With all of these positives that have been
done in our sport, I propose there are too many negatives
yet. Until we join together in oneness with God, and let Him
control our sport, I firmly believe that our sport will never
reach its maximum level of image appeal. What is this level?
To coin a phrase - The sky is the limit!!
Hence,
we come to the purpose and principles of RACK (Recreational
Ambassadors to Christ's Kingdom). first of all, the purpose
of RACK is to improve the image of pocket billiards, while
constantly reaching for the maximum level of greatness. Through
this we all may enjoy, share, care, and understand the true
meaning of love… love for God, love of fellow players
and friends, and love of our sport. We also will create an
environment of health, radiating from mind, body and soul;
and filtering down to all areas of the billiard industry.
Organization, production, competition, entertainment, education,
media, written word, promotion, service, sales and any other
ingredient of the billiard world will be blessed by our faithfulness
in God's Word and trust in God for guidance and direction.
He will heal our industry if only we let Him!
With
all of this rhetoric a person is destined to ask - How much
does this concept of RACK cost? That's the most beautiful
part! God has promised the principles of RACK if only
we ask. We (the billiard industry) and each of us individually
can have the blessed medicine of God's healing grace at no
charge. It's a free gift of God. Our payment was given when
Jesus, the Son of God, died for our sins on the cross. God's
love for us far transcends comprehension in human terms. He
so loved us to send His only begotten Son to come among us
and die on the cross for us so that we might live. The principles
of RACK are the principles of salvation. According to God's
Holy Word they are as follows:

God
loves you (John 3:16)
- You
are a sinner (Romans 3:23)
- You
are dead in sin (Romans 6:23)
- Christ
died for you (Romans 5:6-8)
- You
can be save by faith in the Lord Jesus Christ (Acts 16:30,31)
- You
can be saved and know it (John 5:10-13)
- You
are now a child of God and you are to obey Him (Acts
5:29)
This
plan for eternal live in Christ's Kingdom is yours only for
the asking. Through individual efforts of fellowship, personal
acceptance of the above plan, and witness to others in our industry
and outside it, we all will experience blessings by positives
instead of negatives, and happiness with calm in the heart of
our industry. Through peace and understanding of individual
hearts, the sport of pocket billiards will prosper and will
take its place among the higher image sports in God's Kingdom.
God
wants you to work for Him. He will be our Light and guide our
cues. Regardless of what area of the billiard industry you are
involved in, accept Christ today and see His mighty hand turn
our industry upside down. RACK up a victory through God today.

RACK
MEMBERSHIP
RACK membership is free, once you accept Jesus Christ as
your personal Lord and Savior. There is no cost due in the
salvation story. There is no card to identity with,
since it is a conviction of the heart. God is the
membership creator, and Jesus is in charge of sign-ups,
with the Holy Spirit as your guide throughout the member journey.
