Additional Info: The first World Team Championship in pool / billiards will be held in Hall 13 on the Hannover Exhibition Grounds from January 30 thru February 7, 2010. Some 200 professional players will be competing for a total of $ 400,000 in prize money. Many of the top names in the sport have announced that they will be taking part, including world and European champion Ralph Souquet, Oliver Ortmann and Thorsten Hohmann, as well as other international billiard artists from more than 50 countries including the “Prince of Brunei”, Al Muhtadee Billah. Eight-ball, nine-ball and ten- ball matches will be played out by teams of between four and six players. In the period 3–7 February, the event will be accompanied by an exclusive Billiard Exhibition, at which the latest trends for both professional and amateur players will be on show. The World Team Championship and the Billiard Exhibition take place simultaneously with the ABF, northern Germany’s biggest leisure, recreation and shopping fair. Dr Cue will be performing shows and teaching clinics with Mark "Dr. Popper" Dimick at not only this amazing event, but also some billiard rooms within the country. "Dr. Cue" and "Dr. Popper" made a similar trip to Lithuania in 2006 to promote pool and direct the Lithuanian Artistic Pool Championship.
